About Me – Anna Thomas

Anna Thomas

Welcome to CarnivoreDiet.Recipes! I’m so glad you’re here.

Let me start with a little story.

I’ve been obsessed with food since before I could even spell “recipe.” Seriously. One of my earliest memories is being about five years old, tugging on my grandma’s apron while she cooked a roast on a rainy Sunday. She handed me a little butter knife and told me to “chop” some herbs. (Looking back, I think she just wanted to keep me busy.) I felt so proud, so important—like I was part of some secret ritual. That was the beginning of it all.

By the time I was ten, I was copying recipes into a notebook like some kids collected stickers. I’d cut clippings from magazines, steal ideas from TV shows, and watch in awe as my mom made dinner each night. Cooking quickly became more than a hobby—it was therapy, self-expression, and my favorite way to connect with others.

Fast forward a couple decades (and many, many kitchen messes later), I’ve tried just about every way of eating under the sun: vegetarian, vegan, paleo, keto… you name it. I was constantly chasing that feeling of wellness I knew was possible, but nothing quite stuck. I struggled with bloating, fatigue, brain fog, and honestly? A lot of frustration. I wanted to feel good without feeling restricted. And more than anything, I wanted food to be simple again.

That’s when I found the carnivore way of eating—and everything changed.

I know, I know. At first, it sounded a little extreme to me, too. Just meat? Really? But after digging deeper, reading success stories, watching people thrive, and giving it an honest try myself, I realized something: this wasn’t a restriction—it was a reset. And for me, it felt like coming home.

Not only did I feel more energized and clear-headed, but I also discovered a surprising amount of creativity within this way of eating. I learned how to make meals that were satisfying, nourishing, and yes—even exciting—with just a few simple ingredients. Meat, eggs, butter, salt, and the occasional seasoning… who knew that something so straightforward could taste so incredible?

That’s when I decided to start CarnivoreDiet.Recipes.

I wanted to create a space that wasn’t full of complicated macros, weird fake foods, or judgment. Just real food, real talk, and real results. Whether you’re here because you’re trying carnivore for health reasons, weight loss, mental clarity, or just plain curiosity—I’m here to help you make it work deliciously.

What you’ll find on this blog:

  • Easy-to-follow carnivore recipes that don’t require a chef’s degree (or a million ingredients).

  • Tips and tricks for navigating everyday life on a meat-based diet.

  • Meal inspiration for everything from quick breakfasts to special occasion feasts.

  • The occasional storytime or kitchen fail—because let’s be honest, not everything goes perfectly (and that’s okay).

  • A judgment-free zone where we can talk openly about food, wellness, cravings, and what it’s really like to eat this way.

I’m not here to tell you there’s only one way to do carnivore. I believe in experimenting, listening to your body, and doing what works for you. For me, that means eating mostly beef, lamb, eggs, and butter—with the occasional dash of heavy cream or seasoning when I feel like it. Some days it’s ribeye and bone marrow, and others it’s scrambled eggs and bacon. It’s not about perfection—it’s about progress and sustainability.

Now, don’t get me wrong—I still love the art of cooking. I still geek out over perfect sears and slow roasts, and I’ll never get tired of making a broth that fills the whole house with that comforting aroma. The difference now is, I feel better doing it. I feel alive, energized, and clear.

And guess what? You can too.

If you’re new to this lifestyle, start simple. Try a couple of my basic recipes, experiment with cuts you’ve never cooked before, and be kind to yourself along the way. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Every small step matters.

And if you’ve been on this path for a while—hi, fellow carnivore! I hope this blog gives you fresh ideas and makes your meals feel less repetitive. Because yes, we might eat mostly meat—but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring. (Have you tried my crispy lamb riblets yet? Total game changer.)

Outside the kitchen, I’m just a regular woman trying to live a more intentional, health-focused life. I love morning walks with a strong cup of coffee, reading books about nutrition and ancestral health, and going a little overboard at the butcher shop. I’m always learning, always tweaking, and always hungry—for both knowledge and good steak.

So thank you for being here. Really. Whether you found this blog by accident or came here looking for a specific recipe, I’m so happy you landed in my little corner of the internet. CarnivoreDiet.Recipes is more than just a recipe site—it’s a space for connection, healing, and getting back to what real food is all about.

If you ever have questions, want to share your story, or just feel like talking food—reach out! I love hearing from you.

Until then, keep things simple, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to eat the fatty bits.

With love and lots of butter,
Anna Thomas
